Meet Ghostland Observatory
Ghostland Observatory is a musical duo consisting of friends Aaron Behren and Thomas Ross Turner. The two came together in Austin, TX in 2003 with a mission to artistically meld each of their distinctly different personalities. The result is a unique sound that blends pop synth beats with tones of funk and melodic rock. After enjoying early-career success in the greater Austin, TX area, Ghostland Observatory went on to play festivals across the country, gaining widespread popularity. They have released four studio albums to date, Delete.Delete.I.Eat.Meat… (2005), Paparazzi Lighting (2006), Robotique Mystique (2008) and the latest, Codename: Rondo (2010). Each album was released on Turner’s own label, Trashy Moped Recordings. Ghostland Observatory entered a hiatus in 2014 and did not specify when their return to the spotlight would be. In June 2018, the duo announced their new album See you Later Simulator is set to be released in September 2018 and will be accompanied by a U.S. tour.
